I am a reporter at Politico in New York City. My beat is the City Council.

Previously, I covered city politics and government for Crain’s New York Business and neighborhoods for DNAinfo. I also worked as a fact-checker at The New York Times.

My work on construction deaths at Crain’s resulted in a new city law requiring developers to report them. My reporting at DNAinfo on medical care at Rikers Island contributed to the city’s decision to replace for-profit provider Corizon with a public system. My year-long investigation into drug overdoses treated as homicides was a front-page New York Times story in May and was featured on The Daily.

I keep my best stories catalogued on Contently.
