My work has appeared in/on DNAinfo, VICE News, City Limits, BOMB, The Indypendent, and elsewhere. I’m a master’s candidate at the CUNY School of Journalism in New York. My focus is investigative reporting.
Before journalism, I worked in public policy research. I have a BA in philosophy from the University of Michigan. I live in Brooklyn by way of New Jersey, Ann Arbor and Nairobi.
I received the 2014 Dennis Duggan Prize from the Society of Silurians, the nation’s oldest press club, for coverage of “ordinary or disenfranchised New Yorkers,” as well as the Equal Voices Scholarship from the Journalism Center on Children & Families and funding from the Nation Institute’s Investigative Fund.
