My work has appeared in/on DNAinfo, VICE News, City Limits, BOMB, Real Cheap Eats, The Indypendent, The Huffington Post and Theater magazine. I’m a master’s candidate at the CUNY School of Journalism in New York. My focus is investigative reporting.
Before journalism, I worked in public policy research. I have a BA in philosophy from the University of Michigan. I live in Brooklyn by way of New Jersey, Ann Arbor and Nairobi.
I received the 2014 Dennis Duggan Prize from the Society of Silurians, the nation’s oldest press club, for coverage of “ordinary or disenfranchised New Yorkers.”
